Ocracoke Island Lighthouse is the smallest light on the Outer Banks: however, it is the oldest operating lighthouse in North Carolina. It was constructed in 1823 and automated in the early 1900's. The beacon reaches up to 14 miles into the Atlantic Ocean and Pamlico Sound. The lighthouse and keepers house are not open for tours, but visitors are encouraged to stop and explore the grounds.
This Ocracoke Lighthouse keepsake is hand-crafted from ¾” thick wood with a detailed front design and a written description on the back. It can set neatly on a shelf, desk or narrow ledge such as window or door trim. Group it with other Cat’s Meows to create your own little Village!
