Hugh Davis surprised his wife, Zelta, in 1972 with his hand-constructed 80-foot sperm whale for their 34th wedding anniversary By the mid-70s the whale became the centerpiece of the Davis' new roadside attraction, Nature's Acres. Hugh and Zelta closed their park in 1988 and the whale fell into disrepair.
Today, thanks to whale volunteers who keep ur repairs, you can visit the Blue Whale on the wan through Catoosa.
