Yellowstone is the world’s first National Park, established on March 1, 1872.
Of its 3,472 square miles, 1% is in Idaho, 3% is in Montana, and the remaining 96% is in Wyoming. You can enter one of the five entrances, then drive the 466 miles of roads to see the active geysers, fantastic waterfalls, or just slow down to enjoy the wildlife.
