Located just north of Harrisonburg, Virginia on Rt 11 is the small historic town of New Market. Her historic district and Civil War battlefield are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Public House Restaurant started as the residence of Miss Abbie Henkel, and is thought to be one of the oldest homes in New Market.
The Public Restaurant keepsake is a part of our Shenandoah Valley Christmas Series. It is hand-crafted from ¾” thick wood with a detailed front design and a short description on the back. It can set neatly on a shelf, desk or narrow ledge such as window, door trim, or wainscoting. Group it with the other Shenandoah Valley pieces to create a quaint holiday village. Every Cat's Meow design includes our black cat mascot, Casper. Look for him on every piece...that's how you know you have a real Cat's Meow!
