This Shepherds piece is part of a 3-piece Quilted Nativity Set. Faline designed this collection for a Friends Of The Creche tour group that visited Cat's Meow October 2013. This group includes members from all over the world, and Faline wanted to create a nativity for them that represented something unique from her part of the world. She decided to incorporate quilt patterns into each design representing the Amish and Mennonite heritage that surrounds her.
Faline picked the Moonlight Star quilt pattern for the Shepherds piece because the shepherds were out in their fields under the moonlight when the angels showed up to tell them of the good news that would bring great joy...the shepherds said to one another, "Lets go to Bethlehem to see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." Luke 2:15
This Shepherds keepsake is handcrafted from ¾” thick wood in the U.S. The colorful details on the front also include our famous black cat mascot, Casper, either sitting or reclining. The back includes a short description. You can set this keepsake on a mantle, shelf, desk, or perch it on the molding above your window or doorway. Group it with other Cat’s Meows to create your very own Village.
