This ¾” thick Old Sacramento Schoolhouse is hand screen printed on the front with a short description on the back. It is part of a eight-piece series called California Gold Rush Series, created by Cat’s Meow founder, Faline Jones, in her seventeenth year of business. This series was introduced on January 1, 1999 and retired on December 31, 2003.
As men moved to California in search of prosperity, they moved their families with them, creating a need for schoolhouses. The Old Sacramento Schoolhouse is what a typical one-room schoolhouse looked like in the 1800's in gold rush country.
Look for our trademark black cat, Casper, on every Cat’s Meow. Handcrafted in our Wooster, Ohio workshop.
