This ¾” thick Auburn Hook & Ladder is hand screen printed on the front with a short description on the back. It is part of a eight-piece series called California Gold Rush Series, created by Cat’s Meow founder, Faline Jones, in her seventeenth year of business. This series was introduced on January 1, 1999 and retired on December 31, 2003.
Mining towns were built out of wood, so fires were common and often destroyed an entire town within a few hour's time. This firehouse is the home to one of the oldest volunteer fire departments in the state of California.
