Add this 3/4" thick wooden keepsake to your home decor to remind you of a place you've visited or wish to one day. Our black cat mascot, Casper, is enjoying a fine Florida afternoon napping on the porch railing of Thomas Edison's home.

Seminole Lodge, the winter home of Thomas A. Edison in Fort Myers, Florida was built from Maine timbers on 13 acres of land he bought in 1885. The Edisons enjoyed wintering at Seminole Lodge where their recreation took place on the Caloosahatchee River that ran along their property. They spent many hours swimming, boating and fishing. In 1947, Edison's wife, Mina, deeded the estate to the city of Fort Myers and it has been open to the public every since.
