South Have Pier Light is an example of a typical pierhead lighthouse. This steel tower was built in 1903 to replace the previous wood version. This sentinel has guarded the entrance to the Black River for over 100 years.
In 2012 the lighthouse was transferred from the U.S. Coast Guard to the Historical Association of South Haven, Michigan.
Group this lighthouse replica with the other coastal Cat's Meows to bring the seashore right in your home!
We handcraft it from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and a story on the back. Look closely, you'll find Casper, our black cat mascot, hunched by the lighthouse door, waiting for the next visitor to let him into a dry escape.
Photo for this lighthouse was taken and provided by Cat's Meow citizen and Michigan summer resident, Sandy Lea.
