This hotel was dedicated to Will Rogers on February 7, 1930. It's located in his hometown of Claremore, Oklahoma, on Route 66.
Today, the hotel has been renovated into apartments, and continues to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Route 66 from Chicago, IL to Santa Monica, CA, fondly known as the Mother Road, was one of the original highway systems in the US. It was established in November 1926.
Many people who migrated west on this road would have stopped in Claremore, Oklahoma to stay for the night.
