This Monomoy Point Lighthouse keepsake is handcrafted in the U.S. from ¾” thick wood with a detailed front design and a written description on the back. It can set neatly on a shelf, desk or narrow ledge such as window or door trim. Group it with other Cat’s Meows to create your own little Village! Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, sitting or reclining within the design.
On the back: Monomoy Point Lighthouse was established in 1832, where a fishing village had once stood during 1711. Monomoy light was discontinued after 1923, but the lightkeeper's Cape Cod style house, the tower and generator house stand as a reminder of the community that once existed on this island.
Today, it is a National Wilderness area where visitors can "rough it". More information about Monomoy Point - www.capecodlighthouses.info/monomoy.html
