This miniature 3/4" thick wood replica of Michie Tavern represents the Virginia landmark established in 1784 by Scotsman William Michie. In 1927, it was moved 17 miles to its present site on Monticello Mountain near Jefferson's Monticello. Today, visitors are invited to visit Michie Tavern to experience 18th century tavern life.
