The Star Barn, a National Register of Historic Places landmark is situated in Dauphin County, Middletown, Pennsylvania. It is a three-story frame bank barn constructed on a limestone foundation. It is estimated to be 65 feet in height(to the cupola). The barn was built in 1872 by Daniel Reichert for John Motter.  Mr. Matter sold horses to the U.S. Calvary during the Civil War and was a successful banker, businessman, and gentleman farmer. On December 21, 2007, Agrarian Country assumed ownership of The Star Barn complex planning to move it and the ancillary buildings to a new site.
