The St. Joseph North Pier Inner and Outer lighthouses were built in 1906-07 at the entrance of the St. Joseph River on Lake Michigan. An elevated catwalk used during hostile weather connects the lights to the shore.
The city of St. Joseph took over stewardship of these lights in 2013 and preservation efforts are continuing to this day. A stroll out on the pier offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and sunsets.
