Here shall we rest and call content our home.
The Weir House was built between 1760-1780 on a 153-acre farm in Branchville, Connecticut. Erwin Davis, an art dealer heard that Julian Alden Weir was looking for a home and offered the property to him for a painting he owned plus ten dollars. This farm would go on to house three generations of artists and is currently restored to circa 1940 to display the stories of the artists that called Weir House their home.
