As a child, Elmer Long accompanied his father on trips to the desert to collect anything and everything.  When his father passed away Elmer inherited an incredible collection of glass bottles.

In 2000, an idea struck the famously bearded Elmer Long, and he created his first bottle tree. Shaped like metal hat racks, with glass bottles of all colors and shapes angled off of them, the bottle tree ranch in California has now grown to some 200 various creations. Besides being a beautiful gallery from the sun shining through the colored bottles, the hollow bottles also sing a sweet tune when the wind passes through them. Elmer died in 2019, but the ranch still stands in his memory and honor.  If it is closed when you visit you can still enjoy its unique beauty from the roadside.

Handcrafted in Wooster, Ohio, this colorful keepsake is cut from 3/4” thick wood. Buy it for a friend or add it to your Cat’s Meow collection. It sets neatly on a mantle, shelf, or desk. Or perch it on your wainscoting or the trim above your windows or doors.

Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, who found a sunny spot among the "trees!"
