Well worth a trip to visit, this majestic beachfront hotel is located in Coronado, just across the bay from San Diego. It was the largest resort hotel when it opened in 1888 and is one of the few surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in America. They say the Del is more than a resort. It's a state of mind!  It has always been the proud host to celebrities, royalty, U.S. Presidents, and beach-loving guests for generations.

Filmed at Hotel del Coronado in 1958, "Some Like It Hot" showcased the talents of Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon while also highlighting the hotel’s assets.

It was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1970 and a National Historic Landmark in 1977.

Is that Casper, our black cat mascot, looking like a glamourpuss relaxing under a beach umbrella? He's the sign of an authentic Cat's Meow.

Handcrafted by our small workshop crew in Wooster, Ohio, this replica is made from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and a little description on the back.
