This farmer's daughter quilt block showed up in history around 1898 in a Ladies Art Company catalog. Of course, there have been various names and color combinations throughout the years.
I chose this quilt pattern because I am a farmer's daughter - born and raised on a small dairy farm within 2 miles of my workshop.
I like to think like a farmer's daughter, I was privileged to live close to the land and animals, and learned that nothing is impossible to fix...you just need to use a little creativity.
I hope you enjoy this quilt barn as much as I've enjoyed bringing it to life.
It's handcrafted in 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and the story on the back.
Casper, my black cat mascot, waits by the barn door to sneak inside for a nap on a nice pile of straw.
