A recognized landmark of the upper Great Lakes, Round Island Lighthouse sits on the west shore of Round Island in the Straights of Mackinac, which connects Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.
This square lighthouse was built of painted brick in 1895. It served as an active, manned lighthouse and fog signal until it was abandoned in 1947. By 1974, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and restoration began.
If you've ever ridden a ferry to Mackinac Island then you've passed by this familiar light.
We've crafted this lighthouse from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and it's story printed on the back. Made in the USA. Look for our black cat, Casper, purr-cariously balanced on the railing! He's our official mascot, which means you'll possess an authentic Cat's Meow.
