Architectural details suggest that this post-and-beam stable was built in the 1860's.
Dr. Edwin Crafts Remick, who inherited the Remick property from his father used this building to house his prized work-and racehorses. He also boarded horses for acquaintances and for people vacationing in the area. He even had a racetrack built in the back pasture where he exercised his beloved horses daily.
