Architectural details suggest that this post-and-beam stable was built in the 1860's.
Dr. Edwin Crafts Remick, who inherited the Remick property from his father used this building to house his prized work-and racehorses. He also boarded horses for acquaintances and for people vacationing in the area. He even had a racetrack built in the back pasture where he exercised his beloved horses daily.
Look for our black cat, Casper, purrfecting his hunting mice skills, watching and waiting! He's our official mascot, which means you'll possess an authentic Cat's Meow.
