Fluent in French, Fred Rogers voiced Henri Frederique de Tigre - or Grandpère - to expose young children to another language.

Grandpère ran a Pommes Frites (French Fry) stand at his Eiffle Tower home while providing Dr. Bill Platypus space for his doctor's office on the lower level.  He lives in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe at the Eiffel Tower -- very near King Friday's castle. He speaks French and often teaches his Neighbors what French words mean

Excitement would always ensue when his granddaughter, Collette, would visit from Paris.

We handcraft this in our Wooster, Ohio workshop just 130 miles west of Pittsburgh where Mister Rogers' Neighborhood of Make-Believe lived at WQED from 1968 through 2001.

We add our black cat mascot, Casper, to every design we create. Look closely and you'll find Casper sitting on the colorful stone path!  He is the sign of an authentic Cat's Meow.

"Hello, I snapped this up for my oldest son's birthday, even though his birthday is not until July! lol! My son speaks fluent French, and he even teaches French at a community college part time. He works for American Airlines, so he has been to France many times. He and his girlfriend have a black cat named Mr. Rogers! I think he will LOVE Grandpere's Eiffel Tower! The tower is beautiful and arrived quickly and very safely! Merci! Meow and Love"  Janet
