La Misión San José de Tumacácori, translation: The Mission of Saint Joseph of the Rocky Flat Place, is a historic Spanish Mission preserved in its present form by Franciscans in 1828, ‎near ‎Nogales, Arizona.

Founded by Jesuit Padre Eusebion Francisco Kino in 1691 it was named the Mission San Cayetano del Tumacácori on the east side of the Santa Cruz River and thrived until 1751 when a few of the O'odham (River People) attached a Spanish settlement. Fearing retaliation the O'odham families abandoned the mission and moved into the hills.

After this event the mission moved to the current site on the west side of the Santa Cruz River and renamed Mission San José de Tumacácori. Today you can visit the beauty of the mission on 360 acres in the National Historical Park.

This ¾" thick wooden replica is handcrafted in the U.S. to reflect its historical features. Set it neatly on a shelf, wainscoting, or window/door trim to remind you of this special place you've visited or dream of visiting someday.  A short description is written on the back.
