Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, the 4th mission on the El Camino Real, is a fully functioning Roman Catholic mission and a historic landmark. The building has a strong Moorish architectural influence with capped buttresses and the tall, narrow windows are unique among the missions of the California chain.

The settlement was founded by Spaniards of the Franciscan order on "The Feast of the Birth of Mary," September 8, 1771,

San Gabriel Arcángel was named after the Archangel Gabriel and often referred to as the "Godmother of the Pueblo of Los Angeles",

Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, basking in the sun taking an afternoon catnap on the mission steps! He's the sign of an authentic Cat's Meow.

We're a small workshop of 15 crew members in Wooster, Ohio who love our jobs of crafting replicas that hold deep meaning for you! This replica is made from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and a little description on the back.
