At 65 feet tall, Marathon Faro Blanco Lighthouse was constructed privately in 1950. It has an active light but is not an official aid to navigation. It is located on the gulf side of Marathon Key adjacent to Palm Island.
The lighthouse stands on the grounds of the Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club and now serves as the Dock Master's office.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, on the dock taking an afternoon catnap! He's the sign of an authentic Cat's Meow.
