The Irish Chain Quilt Barn pattern is believed to have arrived in America from Ireland in the early 1800's.
As true Americans, quilters took the original pattern and created the "diamond" look we're used to seeing today. It is also created in a double chain like the one shown on the front of this barn.
The beauty of the Irish Chain is the clear space between the chains where quilters show off their unique quilting patterns or appliques.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, on your finished piece, as the design architect gets to pick the spot where he'll be hanging out. Handcrafted in Wooster, Ohio of 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and a short history on the back.
