Named for Saint Ferdinand, this mission is the namesake of the nearby city of San Fernando and the San Fernando Valley. It is the seventeenth of the twenty-one Spanish missions established in Alta California, founded on September 8, 1797,
The mission was secularized in 1834 and returned to the Catholic Church in 1861; it became a working church in 1920. Today the mission grounds function as a museum.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, taking up residence within the design. This is the sign of an authentic Cat’s Meow!
This keepsake is hand-crafted from ¾” thick wood with a detailed front design and a short description on the back.
