Just a moose, moosin' around!
Denali is home to 39 documented species of mammals. Moose are one of "The Big Five."
Moose in Denali tend to live in forested areas that are often close to lakes and marshes and other bodies of water. Moose are also excellent swimmers.
Moose require 70 pounds of vegetation daily, so they are mostly found grazing. They are very large, fast animals and are aggressive when disturbed, so you wouldn't want to pose for a selfie with them!
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, enjoying the sun among the flowers. He's the sign of an authentic Cat's Meow.
