This ¾” thick Nell's Stems & Stitches is hand screen printed on the front and back. It is part of a ten-piece series of buildings called Series VIII, created by Cat’s Meow founder, Faline Jones, in her eighth year of business. This series was introduced in 1990 and retired January 1996.
The inspiration for this building comes from a few different places; Valley Junction of West Des Moines, Iowa, a birthday and a calico kitty. The looks and character of the building are inspired from Iowa, the building number, 1201, is from Falie's birthday (December 1st), and the name, Nell, is the name of one of Faline's calico kitties.
Look for our trademark black cat, Casper, on every Cat’s Meow. Handcrafted in our Wooster, Ohio workshop.
