Built to commemorate Ivan the Terrible's defeat of the Tartars, the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin on the Moat was built on the edge of Red Square in the 1550's. The design is comprised of eight onion dome-topped towers positioned around a central, ninth spire to form an eight-point star.
This ¾" thick wooden replica of St. Basil's Cathedral is handcrafted in the U.S. to reflect its historical features.
