Hardy's Cottage, Dorchester, England from Great Britain Series handcrafted from 3/4" thick wood by The Cat's Meow Village in the USA

Dorchester, England

This is the small thatched cottage where the novelist and poet Thomas Hardy was born in 1840.  It was built by his great-grandfather and has been altered somewhat over the years.

This shelf sitter of Hardy's Cottage is handcrafted from ¾” thick wood in the U.S. The colorful details on the front and back also include our famous black cat mascot, Casper, either sitting or reclining. You can set this keepsake on a mantle, shelf, desk, or perch it on the molding above your window or doorway. Group it with other Cat’s Meows to create your very own Village.

You will get 1 of 2 variations of Hardy's Cottage when you place your order. We will pick randomly when we pack your order.

Look for our trademark black cat, Casper, on every Cat’s Meow. Handcrafted in our Wooster, Ohio workshop.

There are a limited number of this piece available, which is reflected in the price.
