This quilt block was used during the Underground Railroad days when families would make and hang quilts outside their homes as signals to slaves escaping the South.
This Crossroads quilt pattern represented Cleveland, Ohio as the crossroad into Canada and freedom.

We handcraft it in 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and a story about the quilt pattern on the back.
