Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism is a “spectrum” disorder, so each person with Autism has their own unique strengths and challenges. If you’ve seen one person with Autism, you’ve seen one person with Autism.

Some behaviors associated with autism (but not exclusive) include delayed learning of language; challenges with executive functioning; difficulty holding conversations and making eye contact; sensory sensitivities; narrow interests; reasoning and planning challenges; and poor motor skills. Today, 1 in 59 children in the United States have ASD.

Why the puzzle piece? In 1963, Gerald Gasson, a parent and board member of The Society for Autistic Children in London designed the logo.  At the time, the board believed that autistic people suffered from a “puzzling” condition.

Are you helping a family keep the puzzle pieces together?

Made of 3/4 inch wood. Look for Casper hanging out. He's the one that makes this an authentic Cat's Meow.
