The Pinwheel quilt pattern dates back to the early 19th century. These quilts were used as window and door coverings, hung on dirt walls of a soddie, folded to be used as a cushion on a board or tree stumps to become a sofa. They were also used as privacy walls to provide sleeping areas in a one room cabin.
Add this quilt barn to our other quilt motif shelf-sitters to create your own cozy village.
