Ada's Home, Amish Community, Wayne and Holmes County, Ohio

6" x 3.75"

This Amish keepsake, created from 3/4" thick wood, sets neatly on a shelf, wainscoting, or window/door trim. The front design portrays buildings from the Amish community surrounding The Cat's Meow Village in Wooster, OH. A description written on the back describes the Amish way of life.

Ada's home is a typical Amish house that is modest and simple. Everything within the house is functional while reflecting the importance of the family, love of God, daily work, and humility. The kitchen is the largest room and considered the center of the home. There is usually a hub of activity from dawn to dusk around the wood burning cookstove. Gas lighthing and appliances take place of electric versions, as electricity is not part of the Amish home.
