Toledo Harbor Lighthouse is located on the scenic Lake Erie in Ohio.
Construction began in 1901 for the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse, located at the mouth of Maumee Bay to replace the nearby Turtle Island Lighthouse, built in 1831. This unique Romanesque style lighthouse stands in Lake Erie, eight miles northeast of Toledo Harbor, guarding the entrance to Maumee Bay for over a century. This light was first illuminated on May 23, 1904.
This lighthouse is still an active aid to navigation and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, sitting by the front of the lighthouse enjoying the view over the lake!
It can set neatly on a shelf, desk or narrow ledge such as window, door trim, or wainscoting. Group it with other Cat’s Meows to create your own little Village!
