This Iolani Palace served as the official residence and seat of government of the Hawaiian monarchy.
Today, it is a museum sharing the rich cultural heritage of Hawai'i. One tale, discovered in a personal journal, recounts how during their visit to the palace, Lovely, a large orange tabby cat, sat comfortably on the King's lap as he fed it breakfast. (we can get behind that!)
