Located in Sleepy Hollow, New York, Philipsburg Manor was the property of Frederick Philipse, a Dutch immigrant who was a merchant and master carpenter for the Dutch West India Company.
This restoration of the Manor reflects the year 1750 when it was recorded that 23 Africans were the chief labor force there.
This living-history museum features a mill, barn plus surrounding farm, and large stone house where you can learn indepth history of the families who lived and worked here during the 18th century.
And, look closely, you'll find Ginger (the Manor cat for 13 years) hanging out with Casper, our black cat mascot.
We handcraft this replica in 3/4" thick wood in either a summer or fall version. A short history is written on the back
