Urban legend has it that this house was built out of spite…but that’s not the real story! In 1925, Gertrude Cutter had the Pink House built at the edge of the Plum Island on the Great Marsh. Later, in November, her son, Harry, wife Ruth, and infant son Harry Jr. moved in, but separated the same month. By 1955, the house had changed hands six times, ending with the DeHart family who shared happy times there with locals. However, by 1960 the Stott family purchased it and created many years of joyful memories. In Sept 2011 the US Fish and Wildlife / Parker River Natl Wildlife Refuge purchased the house and acreage on the salt marsh. Plans didn’t work out to use the house as part of the refuge, and by 2024 was put up for auction, but there were no takers, and local support couldn’t save the Pink House. On March 11, 2025, the house was demolished. Long live the Pink House in the memories and imaginations of artists, photographers, historians, and locals alike.

We handcraft this replica from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and its story on the back.
