I love my new Quilt designs this year! I designed them from quilts belonging to three of our crew members here at The Cat’s Meow Village!

When I asked if anyone had a family quilt they wanted to share, Danette, Chris and Brent showed up to work with quilts in hand. I was excited to feel the warmth of the quilts and hear the stories behind each one. And I'm delighted to share these quilts with you through our 2015 Cat's Meow Quilt Blocks Collection.

The Sunbonnet Sue quilt is held by Danette, my best friend since 3rd grade! She started working part time at Cat’s Meow last year.
Now she pretty much runs our shipping department. Her quilt was made by her grandmother in 1962. Every grandchild in her family has a precious quilt made by Grandma Aleksich.
The Shoo Fly wall hangings are held by Chris, who started working at Cat’s Meow in 1997 as a house designer. His mother, Pat, taught quilt making classes for many years. And the Shoo Fly quilt pattern became her favorite. The three wall hangings Chris is holding are signed on the back by students who attended her classes.
Finally, Brent, who took care of our sales and marketing (he has since moved on to other work), shared the Magic Carpet quilt which was created by his grandmother, Betty. Over the course of the past handful of years she worked on ten quilts.
Once she completed the final one, she handed them out to all her grandchildren. Brent and his wife, Sharon, were the recipients of grandma's Magic Carpet quilt. Brent started at Cat’s Meow in 1995 as salesman for our garment printing division.

It was a pleasure this year to design my Quilt Blocks Collection featuring family heirlooms right from the homes of three of our Cat's Meow team members. I hope you enjoy my 2015 Quilts Collection.
