How Margaret Shared Her Childhood Memories

What if your world, we mean your very personal world...like your own home, or a family home, could be crafted in Cat's Meow Village fashion?

Imagine sharing your family home with parents, siblings, relatives. Margaret C. shares her experience with us...

To begin with, we received this note with photos from Margaret:

I recently lost my mother and had to sell her house. The home we grew up in. Unfortunately, I have only these two pictures of the house. I am hoping they are enough for you to create five [Cat's Meow] replicas. The siding color was a light blue/gray, shutters were burgandy. I am confident you will be able to re-create this for myself and four siblings. -Thank you, Margaret

These are the photos Margaret sent us of the home she grew up in.

Then we got to work creating from the photos Margaret provided.

After we shipped her order, we received this note from Margaret:

"I cannot begin to thank you enough for the five houses you made for me of my childhood home. When I opened the box I was amazed. I surprised my four siblings with one each and brought them all to tears. I know I didn't have the best photos, but the finished product was an exact and perfect replica of the place we called home for 56 years. Having this momento after the house is no longer in our family means the world to all of us. Words can never express my gratitude for the care and attention to detail. Many, many thanks!" -Margaret

A Cat's Meow replica of Margaret's childhood home keeps memories alive in her family.

We call our custom design process "Create Your Own" because you get to have us handcraft your very own keepsake in Cat's Meow style. And the best thing about a Create Your Own piece is that it can be accessorized with all our Cat's Meow Village designs!

Do you also make "create your own" personal house ornaments?
Funny you ask, lmkennedy! We are working up a plan to introduce ornaments for CYO homes that have already been created. Stay tuned. You will find it on our CYO personal homes page.
